Fynq AI Search & Vision (“Fynq”, “we”, “our”) is a Shopify-embedded app that lets merchants deliver lightning-fast keyword and image search, AI recommendations, instant filtering, multilingual support, real-time inventory sync, advanced storefront customisation, and sales-boosting analytics. This notice explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you. Our practices follow Shopify’s Protected Customer Data standard of data-minimisation, transparency, and security.
Data We Collect
*Level 2 data is accessed only if you enable features that require it and Shopify approves our request; unapproved fields are automatically redacted
Shopify API Scopes We Request
We never exceed the minimum scopes needed for each feature, and we re-request approval if scopes change.
How We Use the Data
Core functionalityserve accurate search, image matching, semantic suggestions, and AI-driven recommendations.
Personalisation (merchant-controlled)tailor results to logged-in customers using Level 2 data.
Analytics & optimisationshow merchants zero-result queries, high-converting terms, and filter usage.

We never sell data or use it for third-party advertising.

Data Retention & Deletion

Fynq uses only first-party cookies/local storage, listing the name, purpose, and lifespan inside the app settings. Disabling these cookies may limit personalised or experimental features, but basic search still works.

All sub-processors sign Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with Fynq.
